# Pricing, units and limits

> Canonical AIFP-1 and AIFP-2 economics, price tiers, integer vectors and release gates.

This page is the public economics source of truth. If another page, SDK, bridge
or contract disagrees with it, that component is not release-compatible.

## Canonical route models

| Route | Payer total | Merchant/provider | AiFinPay | Creator/referral | Network gas |
| - | -: | -: | -: | -: | - |
| **AIFP-1** | exact quoted gross | 99% | 1% | 0% | separate |
| **AIFP-2 / x402** | provider price | 100% | 0% | 0% | separate |

AIFP-1 is **gross-inclusive**. The protocol fee is deducted from the quoted
gross amount; it is never added on top. AIFP-2/x402 has a temporary 0% AiFinPay
protocol fee for the current launch period. No expiry is encoded yet, so a later
change requires a versioned economic decision and coordinated backend/SDK/docs
release.

## AIFP-1 reference tiers

One billing unit is **\$0.0005**.

| Tier | Billing units per call | Gross price per call |
| - | -: | -: |
| `standard` | 1 | \$0.0005 |
| `complex` | 4 | \$0.002 |
| `premium` | 10 | \$0.005 |

## Exact 6-decimal vectors

Stablecoin math is integer math. The current regression vectors are:

| Gross units | Merchant | AiFinPay | Creator | Conservation |
| -: | -: | -: | -: | -: |
| 500 | 495 | 5 | 0 | 500 |
| 2,000 | 1,980 | 20 | 0 | 2,000 |
| 5,000 | 4,950 | 50 | 0 | 5,000 |

The protocol fee is `floor(gross × 100 / 10,000)`; merchant receives the
remainder and creator receives zero. An amount too small to produce a non-zero
AIFP-1 protocol fee must be rejected rather than silently changing economics.

## Batches and receipts

A quote states the gross batch amount. One on-chain settlement purchases the
batch; a signed bearer receipt meters billing units locally at the merchant.
Receipt scope and quota do not change the economic split.

The reference minimum batch is \$0.10:

| Tier | Minimum whole calls |
| - | -: |
| `standard` | 200 |
| `complex` | 50 |
| `premium` | 20 |

## Limits

Per-payment and daily operator caps are checked before signing. A model/tool
argument may tighten an operator ceiling but must not increase it. Unknown asset
price, invalid amount, expired quote or split mismatch is a blocking state.

## Production gate

A listed network or source implementation is not automatically payment-live.
Before signing, the release must independently pin and verify:

1. route class and chain ID;
2. B2BSplitter v1.3 address and exact runtime code hash;
3. on-chain BPS profile (AIFP-1 `100/0`, AIFP-2 `0/0`);
4. merchant/provider target and asset metadata;
5. quote expiry and exact gross calldata;
6. paid end-to-end evidence for that release;
7. no unresolved Critical/High fund-loss audit issue.

Until every item passes, settlement stays disabled/fail-closed.
